It is good practice in general at a digital citizen to hover over any link before clicking to inspect it. These links often appear in their short form as – amzn.to.

Work with Product Manufacturers
The FTC (that’s the Federal Trade Commission) would like us (bloggers) to disclose when we receive cash, products, gifts, travel . . . really any sort of consideration or compensation for the activity we do as bloggers. Building Moxie does disclose, when appropriate, any such partnership typically within the body of a given post.
Further, in accordance with Google‘s “Webmaster Rules,” we strive to ensure that any links found within such “paid” article carry no exaggerated weight in order achieve extra favorable ranking.
Unless explicitly noted, posts submitted by unaffiliated “guest” contributors or generated by Regular Contributors should be considered un-sponsored and purely editorial.
Work with Guest Contributors
At times, Building Moxie will solicit guest contributions from like-minded individuals or organizations. These posts appear in Guest Room Menu option above. Many of these posts rank with our most popular. (Thanks to all who have contributed.)

Because posting to any blog offers an opportunity for “link juice” (as noted above), we are frequently approached by freelance writers or firms submitting on behalf of someone else (a client). We may reject these posts based solely on the underlying nature of the(se) post(s). We however have approved and do post some of these posts (with most submitted links intact) IF we feel that the net value of the content is up to the standard of the blog AND is of benefit to our reader base.

A Note on Links
* We currently do no accept Text Link Advertising, nor do we participate in any form of link exchange.
A link does not equal endorsement, but we do in fact like many of the webpages that we link to. In the case of guest submissions, links are often traded for use of content – but again these links do not necessarily equal endorsement.
Under some circumstances, as noted additionally in the footer found across this site, we do make a small commission for clicks on images and/or links served or provided by advertisers and/or affiliate partners.
A Note on Images
While the largest portion of the images found on this site were created or shot by the admins (Barry & JB), there has and is occasion when images from other sources are used. In these cases, we typically try to either adhere to a Creative Commons License, provide an active “dofollow” links, or at least explicitly credit a source (sometimes in alt tags). On guest submissions, and in cases when an author is supplying images, we take them for their word and assume that they have the right to do so. On rare occasions we cannot locate original source on material. In all cases, we claim no explicit rights to other people’s images.
If you are submitting to the site and can not rightfully gain access to images, we ask that you consider a source from which you can provide embed code and source.

Privacy & Email Subscriptions
We do maintain an email subscription list that has been built in four ways: 1. via an opt-in signup through our “Subscription” widget or form 2. via the addition of a User Account during (guest) posting 3. via a short-lived Registration period or 4. via personal contact with the administrators of this blog.
All email addresses remain private to this publication and are neither shared with 3rd Parties (ever) nor used in any direct business-related correspondence. They are used exclusively for the delivery of editorial content.
